Verified Views
The process of creating a Verified View ensures there is a data history that can be checked to confirm the proposal is accurately positioned and scaled within the photograph. This is achieved by recording digital survey data that correlates with the photograph, which in turn allows for the accurate positioning of the 3d model into the photograph. Each stage of the process is checked and verified by a second person, and a data history including digital files is recorded. Verified views are not required for every project and a standard photomontage image will be sufficient for a planning application, but more often planning departments are requesting verified views for projects that are deemed contentious, or have a noticeable impact on the environment. It should be noted that the survey, verification process and production of a methodology document does add an additional cost when compared with the traditional photomontage image. An example of the process can be seen in the case studies section of our website, for the Clarendon Arcade verified views. |
